
Ingredients:
Chicken – 3 1b
Onion – 3/4th of 1 onion, chopped
Tomato – 3 nos. diced
Ground ginger – ½ tsp
Ground garlic – ½ tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds – 1 tsp
Cilantro
Salt
Oil
Preparation:
Heat the oil, splutter the cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds. Add the onion and sauté it well. Now add the ginger, garlic and the spices and stir it for 30 secs. Add the tomatoes, salt and the chicken, cook it covered for 5 mins. Pour some hot water and cook it through. Sprinkle the cilantro over the curry.
Note: If using chicken thighs, cut them into halves to save the cooking time.
Tip: When the chicken is cooked, turn off the heat and add 1 tsp of freshly
ground black pepper to it. It gives the spicy color and flavor.
